The best way we can share this is sharing the words from our clients directly. Question 2

I’m a startup, do you think it would make sense for me to invest in my branding and website at this stage of my business?

Accepted Answer

If you have the means to invest in branding/website services from the beginning, it is a great foundation to start your business. However, getting a brand or website should never be a financial burden when you are starting a business. I will never push you you purchase a package that is more than what you need, and I will always be as flexible as possible with payment plans and meeting you where you are.

Does it make a difference for my business if I book a logo only service instead of a full branding project?

Accepted Answer

A lot of designers won’t design “just a logo” for clients. We aren’t one of them. We understand that not everyone can invest in a full branding suite when starting their business or entrepreneurship journey. If you are looking for only a logo, we will design it for you and hope that as your business grows, you can come back and invest in the full brand suite, using the logo we created as the foundation.

Question 4

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We have some pre-set payment plan options, but we are always flexible to work with you and your business. If you need an extended payment plan or have a unique setup in mind, we are open to hearing your ideas. There are no added fees or interest if you choose to select a payment plan. We don’t feel you should pay more just because you prefer a payment schedule. The only condition with a payment plan is that is defaults to autopay on the pre-set schedule.

How will we communicate throughout the design process?

We will always communicate primarily via email. This is the best way to ensure that you get a response as quickly as possible, either from me personally or from one of our team members. During our work together, we may have the occasional phone call or Zoom meeting.

Question 6

How do I know which one of your packages is best for me?

Accepted Answer

This is why I offer (and require) that each potential client schedules a Discovery Call with me. I want to show you that I am willing to invest 30 minutes of my time to answer your questions and spend time with you, whether you decide to move forward with me/Swell Design or not.

I don’t want to send a bunch of packages and information your way to navigate on your own. I want to spend 30 minutes talking with you so I can ask you questions about your business, your goals, and what you’re looking for, then I will spend time going over the entire process and suggest a package or two that would likely be the best fit for you based on our conversation.

Question 7

Why should I go with Swell Design instead of a cheaper option like Fiverr?

We provide a catered and personal experience. We are communicating multiple times per week as we work on our project together.

I want to get to know YOU. I want to ask you questions and fully understand your goals, your aesthetic, your vision, and the specific needs you want to have met so we can have a successful partnership.

We are running a business, with team members to support. It is important to me that my team members are paid a fair rate for the work they do, I have to take that into account when pricing my offerings. They are what help keep the process moving smoothly and allow for quicker timelines than if I were doing it all solo, or were only working for a percentage of the overall fee (like Fiverr).

I’m not going anywhere. Fiverr designers come and go as they find other opportunities or source better leads, so if you have a question in the future, it may be difficult (or even impossible) to track down the designer you worked with. We’ve been around for 7+ years and will be here anytime you need us.

I know that my offerings and packages may not be suited for every single person who inquires, and I’m finally at peace with that (it was hard to get there), but I still work hard to provide customizable, flexible payment plans and packages at a variety of price points to cater to as many people as possible.

At the end of the day, your success = my success. I care about the experience you have, about the end result you walk away with, and I want to feel equally as proud of the work we do together as you do.

Is there a way for me to access your pricing so I can see which one of your offerings fits my budget?

I’d prefer to go over all of the details of our package options during our Discovery Call, but to give you a starting point, we have a logo-only package at a rate of $695, branding packages that start at $1195 and website packages start at $1795.

How long are projects with your team on average?

Accepted Answer

For a core brand package, our no-stress timeline is 3 weeks from start to final file delivery. 
For a 4-Page website package, the no-stress timeline is 5 weeks from start to launch (if we have all of the copy and content needed for the site).
We do offer a quicker timeline for an additional rush fee when necessary.

Question 10

Can we start a project immediately or is there a waitlist?

Accepted Answer

Typically, we are always booking 3-4 weeks out, but that fluctuates depending on the time of year and current demand. This is something we will chat about at the end of our Discovery Call so you know the next available date options.

The time between booking and your Start Date is a great amount of time to do your pre-work. To gather your inspiration, think about your target market, complete and submit your Questionnaire, and make sure everything is prepped before we dive in!

I already have branding/ a website and only want to book your team to do some small changes, is that possible?

Absolutely! We are happy to assist in any way that we can. For this type of project, we request that you compile a list of the specific changes you’re looking to make and then our team will be happy to custom-quote the project and give you an estimated turnaround time.

Question 12

What website platforms do you develop on?

Accepted Answer

Showit, Wix and Squarespace are our favorites. We have done Shopify and Wordpress sites in the past, but we parter with a developer for these to assist with making our designs perfectly come to life.

I need a customized package, is that an option?

Yes, we are always happy to work with you one-on-one to create the perfect package for you and your business needs.

Can I come back for additional services after we finalize our project?

Accepted Answer

We love creating longterm partnerships with our clients. We always hope that we are the first to come to mind the next time you need design work done. We will custom-quote any project and be a dependable resource for your business.

I run a non profit and would like to know whether Swell Design offers discounts to non-profit organizations?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We have worked with a few nonprofit organizations and love working with nonprofit clients. We offer a 10% discount on any package selected to registered 501(c)3 organizations.

Do you work with all kinds of businesses or only within specific industries?

Accepted Answer

We tend to work with service-based businesses, but are open to the right fit for product-based or eCommerce businesses as well. We do not niche down to a specific industry and love the challenge of working with a wide variety of industries.
