  • Why don't you list pricing on your website?
    After doing this work for several years, I have learned that each client and project is uniquely different. Currently, I am custom quoting every project so that you're ending up with the exact deliverables your looking for, at a rate that makes sense for your individual needs. This is why I require a Discovery Call prior to booking any/every client. This way, we can both ask questions and I can gather the information needed to provide you with a custom quote.
  • Do you offer payment plans?
    Yes! I allow clients to choose between 1 and 5 total payments for any project booked with me at a rate over $995. No matter which package is selected, the first payment made is your initial, non-refundable deposit and any future payments will begin on a structured schedule during the week of your Start Date. All clients who choose a payment plan are required to opt-in to Auto Pay.
  • How will we communicate throughout the design process?
    Email is my preferred method of communication, this way, I have your comments in your own writing and can keep everything in the same thread, nicely organized. However, you'll likely receive a screen recording or two from me throughout the process, so I can talk and explain things with the visual references as well. If we need to talk details, we can always schedule a phone call or a Zoom screenshare meeting to go over things too.
  • How long will it take to complete my logo/branding design?
    Depending on the package you select, a logo or branding package can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks in total. The timing depends on our ability to communicate efficiently and how many additional items we create together after the initial branding phase has been completed.
  • What are the first steps in the process?
    The first step is to schedule a Discovery Call to learn more about you and your business! We will likely talk over a lot of the questions that you will eventually fill out on your Questionnaire, but this allows me to "meet" you and get a better feel for the type of person you are and why you are passionate about your business. During the second part of the call, I will go over the design process, explain the different package options and answer any questions you may have. After our call, you'll receive an email with a link to an interactive brochure recapping what we discussed on our call, then, you'll be able to select your preferred package, your ideal payment schedule. At that time, I'll then create your formal Proposal recapping your package selection, your invoice schedule with the ability to make your first payment, and a contract agreement to sign online. I will then countersign the agreement and send over your Questionnaire so we can really get started on the fun part!
  • What is the difference between a Brand Design + Strategy package and a Logo Only package?
    When you create a brand with Swell Design, you are going to walk away with so much more than just a logo. You're going to receive a primary logo, alternate layouts, submark designs, social media icons, along with a strategic plan to share your new branding with a world in a way that immediately starts to build brand identity with your online audience. A Logo Only package is just that, no additional files, just a simple logo that you can use as you get started. These packages are really intended for those with a very minimal budget and just need something to pair with their business name.
  • I don't want a full brand, can you create just a logo?
    Yes! We understand that there are a lot of upfront costs for small start-ups or side hustles and want to be sure we have an option that allows our clients to just purchase the logo, and hopefully return to work with us in the future to create additional items as their business grows. However, the value you will receive when you choose a branding package with Strategy included will be helpful once you have your branding files and help you move forward.
  • What will you need from me in order to create my website?
    If you already have a website in place, I will need access to that site with your login information. You will be expected to provide images and content for the website (don't worry, you'll get a Questionnaire to fill out which will help). If you don't have many photos, we can help you find appropriate stock photos until you have photos of your own. We will work through content revisions via a collaborative Google Doc, that my team will setup in the form of a worksheet so you know exactly what content is needed.
  • What is the web design process like?
    You'll start by reviewing Package options (or we can create a custom package based on your needs) and choosing the package that works best for you. Then, we will set up a short phone call, 15-20 minutes to "meet" and I'll ask some quick questions and take some notes for your site. You will also be responsible for purchasing your domain and hosting (don't worry - I can help you with this too). Once you make your initial, non-refundable deposit, you'll receive a Questionnaire to fill out. As soon as you submit the Questionnaire, that is my green light to get started! You'll have a Home Page design to review within 5-7 business days. Once the Home Page is approved, other pages will be created to compliment the design scheme of the Home Page.
  • Will my website be mobile-friendly?
    Absolutely! Each page will be responsive and adapt to different screen sizes and devices.
  • Will I be able to make changes to my site after it is finished?
    Yes, once your site is live, you will have access to make simply changes on your own. I recommned only making simply text and image change to ensure that there are no core design problems. Don't want to make the changes yourself? Ask us about our monthly, quarterly and bi-yearly maintenance plans!
